Combining search terms with AND / OR

This short video provides a simple explanation of how to use AND & OR in database search strategies.  [There is no audio.]

Search strategies in systematic reviews

Just for fun, check out a very complicated example of the use of AND & OR in the search strategy for a public health-related systematic review.

Note:  You are NOT being asked to do the kind of in-depth search strategy that would be employed in a systematic review.

Welcome to the SPH 222 Course Guide

  • find the literature that you will need to write your research paper for this class; and ultimately,
  • learn how to find evidence to support your public health practice after graduation.
